Customers before metrics.
Performance follows customer experience, never the other way around. A strong quarter with dissatisfied customers is a failing quarter. We measure the experience first and let the financials confirm it.
Axios Commerce is a U.S.-based consumer group that builds, acquires, and operates direct-to-consumer brands in wellbeing and ecommerce. Every brand is run end to end by our own team, to a single standard: an exceptional customer experience.
Holding company. Wholly-owned, operator-run brands.
An exceptional customer experience, measured on retention.
Direct-to-consumer wellbeing. Few brands, deep ownership.
Axios Commerce builds and acquires direct-to-consumer wellbeing brands, then operates them entirely with our own team. There are no agencies between us and the customer, and no layers between the person who owns the P&L and the person who answers the support ticket.
A brand is not its advertising. It is the checkout that works the first time, the order that arrives early, the support reply that resolves the issue, and the product that earns a place in someone’s routine. Every brand in the portfolio is measured against one outcome: customers who return without being asked.
Thoson is a direct-to-consumer brand of Montessori-inspired, screen-free educational toys, serving parents and gift buyers across the United States. Its product line is built around hands-on learning that develops focus, fine motor skills, and early STEM foundations, and every product is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Portfolio expansion. Additional brands are currently in development and under evaluation for acquisition, following the same operating standard.
In developmentPerformance follows customer experience, never the other way around. A strong quarter with dissatisfied customers is a failing quarter. We measure the experience first and let the financials confirm it.
Advertising is the shortest part of the relationship. Unboxing, support, and reordering are where the brand is actually experienced. We design the entire journey, not just the funnel.
We would rather operate a small number of brands to an exceptional standard than a large number adequately. Every customer touchpoint is owned by someone on our team: packaging, product page, post-purchase communication.
Launch spikes are easy; compounding is rare. Retention, repeat rate, and contribution margin take precedence over vanity metrics. We build for a brand’s second decade, not its first quarter.
Support desk, chat, and phone, operated in-house for every brand. Response time, NPS, and repeat behavior are tracked on the operating dashboard from day one. Support is treated as part of the product, not a cost center.
Weekly P&L reviews, demand planning, COGS engineering, supplier governance, working-capital discipline. The invisible work that keeps the visible experience polished.
Paid acquisition across Meta, Google, and TikTok, managed in-house and measured on contribution margin. Acquisition is built on accurate claims and creative that respects the audience.
Shopify, headless, and custom builds. A/B testing infrastructure, performance budgets, server-side tracking, and checkout optimization. Storefronts engineered to be fast, clear, and effortless to buy from.
Email, SMS, loyalty, and subscription programs. The relationship after the first order is where brand value compounds, segmented on observed customer behavior rather than assumptions.
3PL management, freight contracts, returns architecture, and inventory accuracy. Orders arrive on time, returns are frictionless, and the experience holds at scale. It is infrastructure customers never see, by design.
Brands enter the portfolio in one of two ways: built internally from the ground up, or acquired outright. In both cases we take full ownership, with no minority positions and no partial commitments.
A single operator owns each brand end to end, supported by the group’s shared media, engineering, retention, and operations capabilities. One brand, one team, one P&L.
Once unit economics are proven, we invest in the next structural advantage: subscription, retail distribution, new markets, brand IP. Growth is planned in stages, not campaigns.
The customer experience is treated as permanently unfinished. Product, packaging, and service are reviewed and improved on a continuous cycle across every brand in the portfolio.
